This graph illustrates the most expensive automobiles available on the market as of January 2019. The list was topped by Rolls-Royce's Sweptail, which is sold at a starting price of around 13 million U.S. dollars. No longer available, but certainly one of the most expensive cars on record is the one-off MY 2004 Maybach Exelero, which sold for around eight million U.S. dollars. In March 2019, Bugatti presented a prototype of what has been dubbed the most expensive new car ever made: La Voiture Noire comes with a hefty price tag of about 11 million euros and was allegedly snapped up by Cristiano Ronaldo.
