This statistic highlights the results of a survey among grocery retail companies in the United States in 2013. Participants were asked to express how they promote health and nutriton to their consumers. Some 84.8 percent of companies which employed a retail dietitian promoted health and nutrition by using social media, while 54.4 percent of retailers, without a dietitian, used product samplings to teach their customers about heatl and nutrition.
