This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted by the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA) in July and August 2013. During the survey, U.S. consumers were asked about which types of food they used for grilling. Approximately 72 percent of the respondents had prepared hotdogs using a grill.

The sample size included households assembled to be representative of the latest U.S. Census in terms of geography, age of head of household, market size, annual household income and household size.
