This statistic shows the results of a 2013 survey on the scandals which occurred the same year in the United States. Respondents were asked how much attention they paid to selected scandals. 70 percent stated they pay a "great deal" of attention or at least "some attention" to the scandal of Edward snowden leaking confidential information about mass surveillance programs to the press in 2013.
