The statistic shows the most highly ranked macroeconomic risks to the United States in 2012. The results come from a survey carried out on 252 CIOs (chief investment officers) by investment bank Goldman Sachs as to which financial uncertainties present the greatest macroeconomic risks to the United States in 2012. The responses recorded show the percentage of experts that ranked the risks as a first choice. Credit and equity market volatility was ranked as the first choice by 17 percent of CIOs in the United States, it was ranked in the top three most severe risks by 58 percent of experts.
