In the second quarter of 2021, around 92.7 percent of mobile phone users in Mexico used a smartphone. This share increased by about 11 percentage points compared to the smartphone usage penetration reported in the second quarter of 2016. In the second quarter of 2021, Mexico was home to almost 128 million mobile phone lines.
