Number of cinema screens worldwide in 2021, by region & format
In 2021, there were almost 111 thousand cinema screens in the Asia Pacific, out of which about 84.4 thousand – or 76 percent – were digital 3D screens. In Latin America, the nearly six thousand 3D digital screens accounted for less than 40 percent of the region's total number of cinema screens. The global number of digital 3D cinema screens grew by 52 percent between 2016 and 2021.
