This statistic shows the results of a consumer survey conducted by the International Food Information Council (IFIC). Respondents were asked if they believe whether certain foods have health benefits beyond basic nutritional value. Some 87 percent of Americans stated that they strongly or somewhat agree with the statement that certain foods provide additional health value.
