When asked what they would like to receive as a gift around the holidays in 2024, more than half of survey respondents in the United States said they would like money. The second-most popular type of gift was quite similar, namely gift cards and gift certificates. This would indicate that many U.S. consumers appreciate receiving gifts that allowed them the freedom to buy what they wanted specifically themselves.
