In Portugal, as of 2024, 50 percent of respondents were subjected to discrimination by health professionals due to their gender identity. 45 percent of those surveyed have suffered from discrimination at work or in the form of physical aggression. Gender identity discrimination took the shape of sexual assault for 35 percent of respondents.
