In the referendum to amend the constitution to include a commitment to becoming a member of the European Union (EU) held in Moldova on October 20, 2024, 50.38 percent of the votes were in favor.
Moldova was granted EU candidate status in June 2022. No matter the results, the government is to continue EU accession talks.
