In the United States, nearly half of surveyed adults had some level of personal connection to paid or unpaid long-term care in the past two years as of 2022. Most of this experience came from personally receiving or a loved one receiving support for ADLs* from a friend or family member. One in six has acted as a caregiver for a loved one.
