A survey conducted in 2024 during Amazon Prime days showed the share of shoppers using the Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) method when purchasing products. Comparing 2023 to 2024, the use of live paycheck to paycheck with issues paying bills almost doubled, going from 6.4 percent to 12.3 percent among BNPL users. Only a small amount of BNPL users did not have these types of lifestyle.
