Battery recycling capacity worldwide was estimated at 450 gigawatts-hour in 2024, up 32 percent year-over-year. By 2030, this figure is expected to more than triple, reaching 1,550 gigawatts-hours. China is by far the largest battery recycling market, accounting for 75 percent of capacity in 2024.
