Revenue and sales development of fish in Germany 2023, by segment

In 2023, total revenue from fish increased by 3.6 percent compared to the previous year. Although revenue grew across nearly all product categories, sales volumes declined for most. Fresh fish sales, for example, declined by 5.2 percent, despite a 1.6 percent rise in revenue. This discrepancy is attributed to higher consumer prices.
