In 2023, just under 1.8 million e-sports players in India participated in tournaments across prominent titles and levels. This reflected the constantly growing trend in e-sports participation that emerged in 2020. It was further estimated that the e-sports participation in the country would continue to grow, nearly doubling in 2024.
