According to a study conducted in 2023 among the most popular Android mobile apps hosted on the Google Play Store in the United States, 85 percent of mobile gaming and 70 percent of apps had in-app events. Major updates were sponsored among 20 percent of apps during the past year, while only 10 percent of games gave notice of such in-app events to iOS users.
