A recent report revealed that in the European countries - the UK, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain - almost 90 percent of the total sports rights value was spent by paid broadcasters and streaming services. A similar trend could be observed in Japan, although the share of sports rights spending from free-of-charge providers was much higher, at around 27 percent.
