According to a survey conducted in 2024, 65 percent of Generation Z children and adolescents said that they worried about what the world will be like when they are adults in the United States. Gen Z respondents aged 16 to 18 years old were most likely to share this belief, at 76 percent, followed by multiracial members of Gen Z youth and female Gen Z youth.
