Portugal recorded the highest rate of injuries among shared e-scooter riders in Europe in 2022. That year, there were 25 injuries requiring medical treatment per one million trips in the country. Portugal was followed by the United Kingdom, where the injury rate was 20.6 injuries per one million trips.
