For 2024, overall nominal wages were predicted to rise by around 1.9 percent. The public sector was even expected an increase of approximately 2.2 percent, while employees in the media sector were only to expect a nominal wage increase of around one percent.
Nominal wages refer to the amount of money paid to an employee in current currency, without adjusting for inflation or changes in the cost of living. It represents the face value of the wages, not considering the purchasing power of the money earned.
