In the first five months of 2024, the combined number of inbound tourist arrivals in Berlin remained below the figures recorded before the COVID-19 pandemic, totaling around 1.7 million. While international arrivals declined to just around 4,900 in April 2020 due to the health crisis, they reached nearly 387,000 in April 2024, but did not catch up yet with pre-pandemic levels.
