In 2022/23, around 170 million meals were distributed by the main food bank in France, called Restos du Coeur. An increase from around 30 million meals when compared to the previous year. The charity has seen a sharp rise in the number of beneficiaries and therefore in the number of meals distributed in recent years, particularly since the COVID-19 health crisis and subsequent inflation.
