The marketing impact of Tencent's video games in the Chinese social media cannot be underestimated. According to a brand index evaluating the influence level of video games' official accounts on the Chinese short video app Douyin in May 2024, three titles from Tencent, Battle of Golden Spatula, Game for Peace, and Honor of Kings, scored over 98 out of 100 points. Black Myth: Wukong, an action role-playing game from Game Science which is scheduled to be released in August 2024, occupied the fourth place.

The ranking was determined by assessing the follower count, the content creativity level, the impact of content, and user engagement across the official brand accounts on Douyin.
