In 2023, politicians from the SPD had a share of 24.8 percent of appearances by politicians on ARD and ZDF talk shows. Meanwhile, the party's share of seats in the German Bundestag was 21.7 percent until the federal election, and 28 percent after that. Politicians from the CDU/CSU had the highest talk show appearance rate and the AfD had the lowest.
