The number of installed industrial robots worldwide has grown significantly since 2017, reaching about 553 thousand installed robots by 2022. The large majority of the industrial robots installed across the globe are the traditional type, accounting for about 90 percent of the total amount. Collaborative industrial robots are gaining further place along the years, having reached up to 55 thousand installed units by 2022.
