Top cities for sports travel worldwide 2024

A January 2024 survey explored the most popular cities for sports travel for the summer of 2024. The most popular city for sports travel that year was New York City, cited by 30 percent of respondents. As well as being home to some major sports franchises, New York hosts the US Open Tennis Championships and the popular New York City Marathon. It is therefore no surprise that the Big Apple is very popular for tourism of all kinds.
