The total number of hospital beds in Portugal in 2022 was 36,209. Of these, 12,435 were located in the North of Portugal, while 9,221 were in Greater Lisbon. There were 5,759 beds in the Center, 1,153 in the Algarve, and 1,051 in Alentejo.
