According to a survey carried out in 2023, news media and social platforms were the most trusted sources of personal information for Chilean social platform users. Over 53 percent of respondents claimed to trust communication media for this purpose, while around 51 percent claimed to trust social networks. However, more than 21 percent stated that they didn't trust any outlets or individuals for their personal information at all.
