A 2024 global study analyzed the travel destinations that reported the highest increase in share of flight bookings from Europe between June and August 2024 compared to 2019. Overall, Munich in Germany and Tirana in Albania were the cities with the highest change in European tourist demand in the summer of 2024, each with a 0.5 percent increase compared to 2019.
