The state-owned bank, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Ziraat Bankası A.Ş., became the leading bank based on profits registered in Turkey, having reached nearly 3.1 billion U.S. dollars in 2023. It was followed by a foreign owned bank, Türkiye Garanti Bankası A.Ş., with roughly three billion U.S. dollars. Additionally, the privately owned Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş., ranked second, recording about 2.5 billion U.S. dollars in profit in the same year.
