Families in Venice between 2000 and 2023

The number of families residing in the municipality of Venice has progressively increased from 2000 to 2023. In fact, in more than 20 years, almost 4,000 new households decided to move into the Venetian lagoon. However, they did not evenly distribute in all the three areas of the municipality, as the population in the historical center has been constantly declining, while the mainland has been more attractive for new residents.
