According to a survey conducted in April 2024, just a few weeks before the European Parliament elections, only eight percent of French respondents believed France had a lot of influence on the European Union's decisions. On the other hand, 44 percent of those surveyed thought their country did not have much influence and 10 percent even thought France had no impact at all on the EU's decisions.
