As of 2021, there were roughly 47.6 million adults in the Middle East and North Africa with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT), and 28.9 million adults with impaired fasting glucose (IFG). By 2045, the number of adults with IGT in the region is forecast to reach 80.5 million, and 47.5 million with IFG.
