Grading points are calculated by Rugby Football League partners Rugby League Commercial and IMG based on five factors: on-field performance, fandom, finances, stadium, and community. The seven highest-ranked teams are awarded an A grading, while a B grade is given to teams ranked eighth to 24th, and C grades are assigned to teams ranked 25th to 35th. The 12 highest-ranked teams are entered into the highest tier of rugby in Great Britain, the Super League.
