An investment exit is when an investor decides to sell their shares in a company. The sale to a trade buyer or another Private Equity fund is the preferred exit route in the Romanian market. In 2021, the value of fund exits totaled 126.5 million euros; by the first half of 2022, it was only 15.47 million euros; 91 percent were sales to trade buyers, while nine percent were repayments of preference shares/loans or mezzanine.
