According to a presidential candidate survey conducted among Indonesians in January 2024, the majority of respondents in almost all regions intended to vote for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Meanwhile, Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar led in Jakarta with a respondents share of about 36.3 percent. Anies Baswedan served as the Governor of Indonesia's capital, Jakarta, from 2017 to 2022.
