According to a survey conducted in 2023, an average of three quarters of European consumers noticed an increase in car maintenance prices, with 69 percent noticing a growth in new car and car insurance prices. Car rentals, however, had a price increase that was the least noticed by consumers.

The survey was conducted in the countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom. 11,000 interviews were conducted in total: 3000 from France and 800 from each other country.
The survey uses the quota method to ascertain the gender and age representativeness of the sample.
Figures represent the responses “Yes, a significant increase” or “Yes, a moderate increase" to the question "Have you noticed an increase in the price
of the following goods and services over the last 12 months?"
