The United States and Canada saw peaks of 100 and 80 index points, with the topic of non-consensual deepfake explicit material stirring news interest. China ranked third, with an interest index of 51. Generative AI and so-called synthetic media have been used in image-based abuse, as well as in child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
