During an August 2023 survey among chief marketing officers (CMOs) in Canada and the United States, around 41 percent of respondents listed delivering business growth as one of the primary roles of marketing function over the next 12 months. The share of respondents who listed the same for the previous 12 months stood at 44 percent.
