Luxury brand stores are the most popular purchase channel among German luxury goods buyers, according to a survey conducted in 2022. Over half of the respondents purchased luxury products through stores of luxury brands, while around 42 percent purchased luxury products through luxury brand's online stores. Similarly, about 42 percent of German shoppers used online second-hand platforms to buy luxury items.
Leading purchase channels for luxury goods in Germany in 2022
The survey was conducted among consumers who had spent a minimum of 2,500 euros on luxury fashion, luxury jewelry, or luxury watches, or 3,500 euros on luxury interior design items during the 12-month period preceding the survey.
