According to a study conducted in June 2023, the most popular beach in the United Kingdom on social media was Weymouth Beach in Dorset. The beach, located in South West England, was mentioned in over 44 thousand Instagram posts, and was the seventh most popular beach on social media in Europe. Ranking second and third in the UK were Horsey Beach in Norfolk and Freshwater West in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
