A survey asking Canadians about Bill C-18 in summer 2023 found that the majority of Canadians agreed that the federal government should back down and rescind the legislation, with almost half (48 percent) agreeing or strongly agreeing that they felt this way. A quarter of respondents said they were unsure or could not say, highlighting the potential need for greater awareness of Bill C-18 in general.
