In 2021, Greece had the lowest proportion of primary care visits due to cardiovascular disease for their population under 45 years old at just over one percent. On the other hand, Italy had the highest proportion of primary care visits for the same age group at three percent. For people 45 years and older Estonia had the highest proportion of primary care visits due to CVD. Primary care consisted of CVD-related visits with family doctors and practice nurses in health facilities or in patients' homes.
