GRESB benchmarking score in Europe 2021-2024, by component

European companies participating in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) received the highest score for their new developments' ESG requirements in 2024. GRESB is an industry-led organization that collects, validates, scores, and benchmarks ESG performance. Within the development component, which stands for new developments, ESG requirements received a score of 96.2. Meanwhile, the water related practices for standing investments received the lowest score (52.1)

ESG benchmarking has been a growing trend among real estate companies worldwide, with the number of companies participating in GRESB benchmark increasing year-on-year since 2013.
