According to a 2023 survey conducted among Southeast Asian countries, over 18 percent of the respondents in Vietnam consumed energy drinks several times a week. In comparison, less than five percent of the respondents in the Philippines consumed energy drinks several times a week as of January 2023. The Philippines and Thailand also had the highest share of consumers who do not consume energy drinks, at over 50 percent each.
