In July 2023, a survey was conducted to determine the amount of money that sports bettors in the United States wagered on sports a month. Just over 20 percent of respondents stated that they spent an average of less than 50 U.S. dollars a month. Comparatively, just under two percent said that they spent five thousand U.S. dollars or more.
