A survey on the vegetarian and vegan lifestyle conducted in Indonesia in November 2022 found that around 26 percent of respondents abandoned these lifestyles because they lacked the strength to resist culinary temptations containing animal meat. Additionally, around 12 percent of respondents ceased these lifestyles due to health conditions requiring the consumption of animal protein.
