Shipments carrying POS devices continued to increase in 2022 but slowed down significantly when compared to previous years. While the source does not explain why this occurred, the coronavirus pandemic likely causes it. Some of the biggest POS terminal manufacturers come from China, a country that was substantially impacted by export issues that followed measures taken to contain the virus.
