According to a survey conducted in South Korea in early 2024, almost one in four respondents aged 18 to 24 years stated that they used Instagram as a source for news, making them the age group with the highest share of people to do so. Instagram was the third-most used social media or messaging platform used for accessing news in the country, after YouTube and KakaoTalk.
